Using the Conditional (part 1)

Using the Conditional (part 1)
Using the Conditional (Part 1)

We use the conditional to show a possible situation based on another situation. For example:

If A happens, then B will happen.

The first conditional shows that something could possibly happen. Its structure is like this:

If + subject + present tense (or present progressive) ----, subject + will/may/can + base verb ----.

For example:

If it rains tomorrow, I will take my umbrella.

If you help me, we can finish earlier.

If the boys give the monkey a coin, it may dance for them.

Notice that each sentence above uses the present tense on the if side. But we could also use the present progressive if something is happening right now.

If he isn't working right now, he may want to come over for dinner.

We can also change the order of the sentence and put the if side on the second half. The only difference is that there is no comma.

I will take my umbrella if it rains tomorrow.

We can finish earlier if you help me.

The monkey may dance for the boys if they give it a coin.

He may want to come over for dinner if he isn't working right now

IMPROVE YOUR ENGLISH LEARNING SKILLS

IMPROVE YOUR ENGLISH LEARNING SKILLS

Learning is a skill and it can be improved.

Your path to learning effectively is through knowing

  • yourself
  • your capacity to learn
  • processes you have successfully used in the past
  • your interest, and knowledge of what you wish to learn

Motivate yourself

If you are not motivated to learn English you will become frustrated and give up. Ask yourself the following questions, and be honest:-

  • Why do you need to learn/improve English?
  • Where will you need to use English?
  • What skills do you need to learn/improve? (Reading/Writing/Listening/Speaking)
  • How soon do you need to see results?
  • How much time can you afford to devote to learning English.
  • How much money can you afford to devote to learning English.
  • Do you have a plan or learning strategy?

Set yourself achievable goals

You know how much time you can dedicate to learning English, but a short time each day will produce better, longer-term results than a full day on the weekend and then nothing for two weeks.

Joining a short intensive course could produce better results than joining a course that takes place once a week for six months.

Here are some goals you could set yourself:-

  • Join an English course (and attend regularly).
  • Do your homework.
  • Read a book a month.
  • Learn a new word every day.
  • Visit an English speaking forum every day.
  • Read a news article on the net every day.
  • Do 10 minutes listening practice every day.
  • Watch an English film at least once a month.
  • Follow a soap, comedy or radio or TV drama.

A good way to meet your goals is to establish a system of rewards and punishments.

Decide on a reward you will give yourself for fulfilling your goals for a month.

  • A bottle of your favourite drink
  • A meal out / or a nice meal at home
  • A new outfit
  • A manicure or massage

Understanding how you learn best may also help you.

There are different ways to learn. Find out what kind of learner you are in order to better understand how to learn more effectively..

The visual learner

Do you need to see your teacher during lessons in order to fully understand the content of a lesson?

Do you prefer to sit at the front of the classroom to avoid visual obstructions (e.g. people's heads)?

Do you think in pictures and learn best from visual displays including: diagrams, illustrated text books, overhead transparencies, videos, flipcharts and hand-outs?

During a lecture or classroom discussion, do you prefer to take detailed notes to absorb the information?

!Learning Tip - you may benefit from taking part in traditional English lessons, but maybe private lessons would be better.

The auditory learner

Do you learn best through verbal lectures, discussions, talking things through and listening to what others have to say?

Do you interpret the underlying meanings of speech through listening to tone of voice, pitch, speed and other nuances?

Does written information have little meaning until you hear it?

!Learning Tip - you may benefit from listening to the radio or listening to text as you read it. You could try reading text aloud and using a tape recorder to play it back to yourself.

The Tactile/Kinesthetic learner

Do you learn best through a hands-on approach, actively exploring the physical world around you?

Do you find it hard to sit still for long periods?

Do you become distracted easily?

!Learning Tip - you may benefit from taking an active part in role plays or drama activities.

Here's How:

1-Remember that learning a language is a gradual process - it does not happen overnight.
2-Define your learning objectives early: What do you want to learn and why?
3-Make learning a habit. Try to learn something every day. It is much better to study (or read, or listen to English news, etc.) 10 minutes each day than to study for 2 hours once a week.
4-Remember to make learning a habit! If you study each day for 10 minutes English will be constantly in your head. If you study once a week, English will not be as present in your mind.
5-Choose your materials well. You will need reading, grammar, writing, speaking and listening materials
6-Vary your learning routine. It is best to do different things each day to help keep the various relationships between each area active. In other words, don't just study grammar.
7-Find friends to study and speak with. Learning English together can be very encouraging.
8-Choose listening and reading materials that relate to what you are interested in. Being interested in the subject will make learning more enjoyable - thus more effective.
9-Relate grammar to practical usage. Grammar by itself does not help you USE the language. You should practice what you are learning by employing it actively.
10-Move your mouth! Understanding something doesn't mean the muscles of your mouth can produce the sounds. Practice speaking what you are learning aloud. It may seem strange, but it is very effective.
11-Be patient with yourself. Remember learning is a process - speaking a language well takes time. It is not a computer that is either on or off!
12-Communicate! There is nothing like communicating in English and being successful. Grammar exercises are good - having your friend on the other side of the world understand your email is fantastic!
13-Use the Internet. The Internet is the most exciting, unlimited English resource that anyone could imagine and it is right at your finger tips.

Tips:

Remember that English learning is a Process Be patient with yourself. Practice, practice, practice

It is the hope of many people to learn English easily whether for personal or professional reasons. The very idea of learning a new language can often make even the most capable learners nervous. Fortunately, there are people who acquire English well every single day, and with the right planning and work, you can be one of those people.

Make a Plan

Although no one can guarantee that you will be able to learn English easily with any one particular method, it can definitely be guaranteed that without planning in advance, you will not learn English very easily at all. Whether you plan to learn English by natural methods such as watching English television, listening to English radio, and conversing with people in English as much as possible, or you prefer a more study oriented approach such as taking an English course, or perhaps a combination of the two methods, if you don't have a clear plan and goals, learning English will not come easily.

Finally! A Video Software Specially Designed For non-native speakers that REALly helps you to improve your English Vocabulary. Read my review

Organic Language Acquisition

Organic language acquisition is a natural method of learning a language the way a child might learn to speak his or her native tongue. This is a very natural language learning method, and if you are able to totally immerse yourself in the English speaking world, you will certainly be able to learn English easily. Immersion in the language requires that you do not speak any language other than English. To practice this method, watching television, listening to the radio, reading magazines and newspapers, cooking from recipes, and following various verbal and written instructions, should all be in English. This is particularly effective for non-English speakers who have recently moved to an English speaking country.
Learn To Speak English Fluently

Curriculum Based Language Acquisition

For those who prefer a more structured environment when learning English, curriculum based language acquisition might be a good choice. Many people are able to learn English easily by enrolling in an English class, using at-home English learning computer software, or listening to an English language instructional course on CD while driving in their cars. There are also many workbooks, flashcards, and self-tests that can be used to support this method of learning English.

Combination Approach

For most people a combination of the above two approaches is the fastest and best way to learn English easily. If a person only goes to classes but never engages in real-life conversations, they will have a very difficult time becoming totally fluent, and a person who is immersed in a language verbally but never learns the specific grammatical rules will not be able to use his or her English in a professional setting very effectively. Therefore, if possible, the English learner should engage in a curriculum based approach to learning English, but should also be sure to engage in conversation with and listen to native English speakers as much as he or she can manage in order to facilitate the quickest learning possible.

Quick Tips

If a person is determined to learn English easily, he or she should also be sure to adhere to certain guidelines that will help them in their mission. First, be certain that your family, friends, and colleagues all know that you are trying to learn English, and that whenever possible, they should speak to you in English rather than your native tongue. Secondly, do not focus on just a single element of language acquisition at the expense of others. For example, it is not advisable to only attempt to speak the language but neglect to read it, write it, or listen to it being spoken. In order to be successful at obtaining fluency, a person should be attentive to all the different language elements.
Because English is one of the most widely spoken languages in the entire world and can be instrumental to a person's personal and professional success, it is no wonder that there are so many people intent on learning to speak it with fluency. With the right planning and a lot of determination, anyone can learn to speak English quickly and easily. Combining an immersion approach with a curriculum based program will afford almost anyone the right foundation for a lifetime of speaking English. As long as the English makes a concrete plan with a set goal and adheres to it, he or she will be speaking English in a very short amount of time.

Imagine how easy your life would be if you could:

• Read most of pages on the web.
• Read English books you are interested in.
• Read English magazines and newspapers easily.
• Watch international channels happily.
• Write your own letters and send emails in English.
• Maintain your job and even get promotions.
• Get your dream job.
• Travel smoothly.

English Tip # 10 Being Understood

English Tip # 10 Being Understood

If you're struggling to get someone to understand you, try the tips below:-

•Speak more slowly (not louder!)

•Keep it simple. Use words that are most common. For example, if you want to say cat, don't use the word feline.

•Keep it simple. Use basic sentence structures (subject/verb/object).

•Don't worry about pronouns, instead use the names of people you are talking about.

•Use a lot of hand gestures. "Do you mean up?" Raise up your hands to help the person understand the word.

•Use sound effects. You may feel silly, but if you are trying to tell someone that something exploded, using the sound "Ka Boom!" will get your point across!

English Tip # 11 - Learn Synonyms

English Tip # 11 - Learn Synonyms

Synonyms - are words that mean the same thing. When you have learnt a new word see if there are any synonyms for it. It expands your vocabulary and it will make your English more interesting and less repetitive.

There are several online dictionaries that can help.

Yet again using flash cards as a memory aid can help. Write the word you know on one side of the card and the most common synonyms for that word on the other side. See how many you can remember

English Tip # 9 Learn to learn

English Tip # 9 Learn to learn

You never finish learning, nor do you ever finish learning how to learn.

•Think and work independently don't depend solely on your teacher or trainer.

•Develop a love of learning.

•Have a vision that motivates you.

•Participate in any related activities.

•Help others to learn.

•Learn from your mistakes and failures.

•Keep a sense of humour.

•Don't give up!

Post English Tip # 8 - Learn from your mistakes

Post English Tip # 8 - Learn from your mistakes

We all make mistakes, so we need to learn to accept them as a fact of life. Making a genuine mistake does not make you any less of a person.

If anyone gives you an unnecessarily stressful time about making a mistake, remember they will have made just as many mistakes as you, if not more. The question 'May I congratulate you on never having made a mistake in your life?' is a useful answer here (just not to your teacher)!

Never making a mistake means never living life to the full.

More useful lessons are learnt from mistakes than from successes.

Children learn to walk because they get up when they fall, not because they stay down.

Repeat each morning that to risk failure is to court success.

English Learning Tip # 7- Learning Vocabulary

English Learning Tip # 7- Learning Vocabulary

Learn words in context

Research shows that the vast majority of words are learned from context. To improve your vocabulary pay close attention to how words are used. Doing a search on a word using Google or DejaNews (for searching newsgroups) will give you many examples of how that word is used in context.

Post English Tip # 6 - Reflect on what you are learning

Post English Tip # 6 - Reflect on what you are learning

Try to recall what you have learnt as you are taking a class as well as afterwards. Try different ways of studying the material. Think about applying these new concepts to your work situation. From time to time, review the classes you have completed as a refresher. Do some of the exercises you did a few months ago, and see if you've improved your score.

English Tip # 5 - Talk to yourself

English Tip # 5 - Talk to yourself

Talk to yourself

Talking to yourself is no longer the first sign of madness - it's the first sign of excellence.
"Self-talk" can help you to become more fluent. And the great thing is - you can do it anywhere: in the bath, in the car, while you're taking the dog for a walk.
Try to put a regular time aside every day when you can talk to yourself in English. Talk about what you did yesterday, what you are doing, about interesting things which have happened to you and the things you're planning to do in the future.

Learn English Tip's #3 - Take responsibility

Learn English Tip's #3 - Take responsibility

Take responsibility

It's easy to expect your teacher to teach you English, but that's not how language acquisition works. The teacher is there to present English to you, but you have to learn it.
After all, you wouldn't expect a waiter to eat your dinner for you, or a barman to drink your beer for you.
I was always very clear with my students. In the first lesson I would tell them I wasn't there to teach them English, I was there to help them learn it. There is a difference. So, once you've been presented with new English words or vocabulary, it's up to you to use it, review it, even play with it. It's the only way you'll get it to stick in your brain and start to make sense

Learn English Tip's #2 - Practice makes perfect

Learn English Tip's #2 - Practice makes perfect

Practice makes perfect

OK - so you've started. Now what?

Now you have to practise - a lot.

Have you ever worked out how many years it took you to gain your current level in your native language?

Don't forget you had exposure to that language 24 hours a day seven days a week. Now work out how many hours that was.

So, if you think you can learn all the English you need in an hour and a half a week - think again. Don't get me wrong, it's fine if you only want to learn certain phrases for travelling or fun: "Two beers please", or "Hello my name is ...", but if you want to become truly proficient, you've got a long way to go.

You can do a lot by yourself, you can rehearse conversations and explanations you might need to use in real life, but then you have to get out into that real life. Luckily with the internet you can do a lot online. Find a friendly native speaker who would like to learn your language, or learn about your culture, if you can't do that you can do a lot by finding a language buddy, someone who is learning English and is on a similar level to you. Finding someone who is better than you certainly helps, and once you are more proficient find someone who needs your help too.

Just remember, English is a living language, you need to live it

Learn English Tip's #1 - Start!

If you don't start, you'll never finish.
The longer you put it off, the more likely you are to give up. So start. Now.
Find an English class.
Find some English learning software or books.
Join an English learning forum.
Begin learning the English alphabet (ABC) and numbers (123).
Learn the vocabulary for your hobbies or interests.
Do something. Do anything.
Once you've started - don't stop.

Keep something English on you (book, newspaper or magazine, cd or cassette, set of flashcards) all day and every day, you never know when you might have 5 spare minutes.

If you are too tired to actively practice just relax and listen to an English pop song or talk radio station

My most important piece of advice is: "Do something (anything). If you don't do anything, you won't get anywhere. Make it your hobby, not a chore, but above all have fun!"
Don't be in too much of a hurry. You're setting off on a long journey and there'll be delays and frustrations along the way.

(Helping Verbs)
(Question Words)

Search Engine Results Pages

Contents are the king ..

 name="keywords" content="الكلمات الدالة للبحث مع فواصل">

name="description" content="للوصف">

 href="http://www.arabteam2000.com">الفريق العربى للبرمجه 2000

http://www.anwarica.....php?cat=Oracle

http://www.anwarica.....php?cat=Oracle

http://www.anwarica....ooks/cat/Oracle

http://www.sitepoint...e-url-rewriting

 src="myimg.gif" alt="وصف للصورة">

http://www.arabteam2...showtopic=59707

اللّهُـمَّ أَعْطِنـي نورا .Allahumma ijAAal fee qalbee noora, wafee lisanee noora, wajAAal fee samAAee noora, wajAAal fee basaree noora, wajAAal min khalfee noora, wamin amamee noora ,wajAAal min fawqee noora, wamin tahtee noora, allahumma aAAtinee noora.
‘O Allah, place within my heart light, and upon my tongue light, and within my ears light, and within my eyes light, and place behind me light and in front of me light and above me light and beneath me light. O Allah, bestow upon me light.’

13. Upon entering the mosque
(20)

14. Upon leaving the mosque
(21)

Bismil-lah wassalatu wassalamu AAala rasol-lah, allahumma innee as-aluka min fadlik, allahumma iAAsimnee minash-shaytanir-rajeem.
‘In the name of Allah, and prayers and peace be upon the Messenger of Allah. O Allah, I ask You from Your favour. O Allah, guard me from the accursed devil.’

15. Supplications related to the athan (the call to prayer)
(22)
‘One repeats just as the mu-aththin (one who calls to prayer) says, except when he says:

Hayya AAalas-salah (or) hayya AAalal-falah
‘come to prayer, come to success’
instead, one should say:
La hawla wala quwwata illa billah.
‘There is no might nor power except with Allah.’

(23)
Immediately following the declaration of faith called by the mu-aththin, one says:

Wa-ana ashhadu an la ilaha illal-lahu wahdahu la shareeka lah, wa-anna Muhammadan AAabduhu warasooluh, radeetu billahi rabban wabimuhammadin rasoolan wabil-islami deena.
‘And I too bear witness that none has the right to be worshipped except Allah, alone, without partner, and that Muhammad is His salve and Messenger. I am pleased with Allah as a Lord, and Muhammad as a Messenger and Islam as a religion.’

(24)
‘One should then send prayers on the Prophet  after answering the call of the mu-aththin’

(25)
Allahumma rabba hathihid-daAAwatit-tammah, wassalatil-qa-imah ati Muhammadan alwaseelata wal-fadeelah, wabAAath-hu maqaman mahmoodan allathee waAAadtah, innaka la tukhliful-meeAAad.
‘O Allah, Owner of this perfect call and Owner of this prayer to be performed, bestow upon Muhammad al-waseelah and al-fadeelah and send him upon a praised platform which You have promised him. Verily, You never fail in Your promise.’
al-waseelah: A station in paradise.
al-fadeelah: A rank above the rest of creation.
praised platform: One in which all of creation will praise him on, in order to bring about the account quickly and be relieved from the lengthy standing or the role of intercession.

(26)
One should also supplicate for himself during the time between the athan and the iqamah as supplication at such time is not rejected.

16. Supplication at the start of the prayer (after takbeer)

(27)
Allahumma baAAid baynee wabayna khatayaya kama baAAadta baynal-mashriqi walmaghrib, allahumma naqqinee min khatayaya kama yuna×××th-thawbul-abyadu minad-danas, allahummagh-silnee min khatayaya biththalji walma/i walbarad.
‘O Allah, distance me from my sins just as You have distanced The East from The West, O Allah, purify me of my sins as a white robe is purified of filth, O Allah, cleanse me of my sins with snow, water, and ice.’

(28)

Subhanakal-lahumma wabihamdika watabarakas-muka wataAAala jadduka wala ilaha ghayruk.
‘How perfect You are O Allah, and I praise You. Blessed be Your name, and lofty is Your position and none has the right to be worshipped except You.’

(29)

Wajjahtu wajhiya lillathee fataras-samawati wal-arda haneefan wama ana minal-mushrikeen, inna salatee wanusukee wamahyaya wamamatee lillahi rabbil-AAalameen, la shareeka lahu wabithalika omirtu wa-ana minal-muslimeen. Allahumma antal-maliku la ilaha illa ant. anta rabbee wa-ana AAabduk, thalamtu nafsee waAAtaraftu bithanbee faghfir lee thunoobee jameeAAan innahu la yaghfiruth-thunooba illa ant.wahdinee li-ahsanil-akhlaqi la yahdee li-ahsaniha illa ant, wasrif AAannee sayyi-aha la yasrifu AAannee sayyi-aha illa ant, labbayka wasaAAdayk, walkhayru kulluhu biyadayk, washsharru laysa ilayk, ana bika wa-ilayk, tabarakta wataAAalayt, astaghfiruka wa-atoobu ilayk.
‘I have turned my face sincerely towards He who has brought forth the heavens and the Earth and I am not of those who associate (others with Allah). Indeed my prayer, my sacrifice, my life and my death are for Allah, Lord of the worlds, no partner has He, with this I am commanded and I am of the Muslims. O Allah, You are the Sovereign, none has the right to be worshipped except You. You are my Lord and I am Your servant, I have wronged my own soul and have acknowledged my sin, so forgive me all my sins for no one forgives sins except You. Guide me to the best of characters for none can guide to it other than You, and deliver me from the worst of characters for none can deliver me from it other than You. Here I am, in answer to Your call, happy to serve you. All good is within Your hands and evil does not stem from You. I exist by your will and will return to you. Blessed and High are You, I seek Your forgiveness and repent unto You.’
Allah does not create pure evil which does not have any good or contain any benefit, wisdom or mercy at all, nor does He punish anyone without having commited a sin. Something can be good in terms of its creation when viewed in a particular perspective and at the same time be evil when viewed in another way. Allah created the devil and by him, He tests His servants, so there are those who hate the devil, fight him and his way and they stand at enmity towards him and his followers and there are others who are at allegiance with the devil and follow his steps. So evil exists in His creatures by His will and wisdom, not in His actions or act of creating.

(30)

Allahumma rabba jibra-eel, wameeka-eel, wa-israfeel fatiras-samawati walard, AAalimal-ghaybi washshahadah, anta tahkumu bayna AAibadika feema kanoo feehi yakhtalifoon. ihdinee limakh-tulifa feehi minal-haqqi bi-ithnik, innaka tahdee man tasha-o ila siratin mustaqeem.
‘O Allah, Lord of Jibra-eel, Meeka-eel and Israfeel (great angles), Creator of the heavens and the Earth, Knower of the seen and the unseen. You are the arbitrator between Your servants in that which they have disputed. Guide me to the truth by Your leave, in that which they have differed, for verily You guide whom You will to a straight path.’

(31)
Allahu akbaru kabeera, Allahu akbaru kabeera, Allahu akbaru kabeera, walhamdu lillahi katheera, walhamdu lillahi katheera, walhamdu lillahi katheera, wasubhanal-lahi bukratan wa-aseela. (three times)
aAAoothu billahi minash-shaytani min nafkhihi wanafthihi wahamzih.
‘Allah is Most Great, Allah is Most Great, Allah is Most Great, much praise is for Allah, much praise is for Allah, much praise is for Allah, and I declare the perfection of Allah in the early morning and in the late afternoon.’(three times)
‘I take refuge with Allah from the devil, from his pride, his poetry and his madness.’

The prophet  would say (as an opening supplication in prayer) when rising from sleep to perform prayers during the night:

‘O Allah, to You belongs all praise, You are the Light of the heavens and the Earth and all that is within them. To You belongs all praise, You are the Sustainer of the heavens and the Earth and all that is within them. To You belongs all praise. You are Lord of the heavens and the Earth and all that is within them. To You belongs all praise and the kingdom of the heavens and the Earth and all that is within them. To You belongs all praise, You are the King of the heavens and the Earth and to You belongs all praise. You are The Truth, Your promise is true, your Word is true, and the Day in which we will encounter You is true, the Garden of Paradise is true and the Fire is true, and the Prophets are true, Muhammad  is true and the Final Hour is true. O Allah, unto You I have submitted, and upon You I have relied, and in You I have believed, and to You I have turned in repentance, and over You I have disputed, and to You I have turned for judgment. So forgive me for what has come to pass of my sins and what will come to pass, and what I have hidden and what I have made public. You are Al-Muqaddim and Al-Mu-akhkhir. None has the right to be worshipped except You, You are my Deity, none has the right to be worshipped except You.’
Meaning of Al-Muqaddim and Al-Mu-akhkhir: Allah puts forward and favours whom He wills from amongst His creation just as He defers and holds back whom He wills in accordance to His wisdom. E.g. Favouring man over the rest of creation, favouring the Prophets over the rest of mankind, favouring Muhammad  over all the Prophets and Messengers…etc.

Gateways of Goodness in Ramadan-II

Gateways of Goodness in Ramadan-II

1- Reciting Thikr (remembrance of Allaah) after Fajr prayer until sunrise. The Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, said: "Whoever performs Fajr prayer in congregation, then stays remembering Allaah till the sun rises, then performs two Rak‘ahs, will have the reward of Hajj and ‘Umrah in full." [At-Tirmithi: Hasan]
2- Performing Friday prayers regularly. The Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, said: "The five daily prayers, and from one Friday prayer to the (next) Friday prayer, and from Ramadhaan to Ramadhaan are expiations for the sins committed in between (their intervals), provided major sins are not committed." [Muslim]
3- Seeking the hour in which supplications are answered on Friday. The Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, said: "There is a time on Friday during which a Muslim, while he (or she) is performing prayer and is supplicating, will be granted whatever he (or she) is supplicating for.'' [Al-Bukhaari and Muslim]
4- Reading Surat Al-Kahf. The Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, said: "A Muslim who reads Surat Al-Kahf on Friday, a light will shine for him between this Friday and the next one." [An-Nasaa’i and Al-Haakim]
5- Giving charity frequently. "Charity extinguishes sin as water extinguishes fire." [At-Tirmithi]
6- The best charity is that of the poor. The Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, was asked: "What is the best charity?" and he said: "The best charity is that which is given by a poor man, and start giving charity to those under your care." [Abu Daawood, Ibn Khuzaymah, and Al-Haakim]
7- Giving charity in secret. "Doing favors helps in saving from evil deaths, secret charity puts out the anger of the Lord, and maintaining kinship ties increases one's lifespan." [At-Tabaraani]
8- Obeying and being dutiful to parents. The Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, said: "He is a loser, he is a loser, he is a loser." It was said, "O Messenger of Allaah, who is he?” He replied: "He who lives until his parents reach old age, either one or both of them, and misses the chance to enter Paradise (because of being dutiful to them)." [Muslim]
9- Supplicating for parents. The Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, said: "Allaah The Almighty raises the degree of the righteous slave in Paradise, and as a result he asks, 'O my Lord, where did I get this from?' Allaah will Say, 'This is because of your son's asking forgiveness for you.'" [Ahmad]
10- Dutifulness to one's maternal uncles and aunts. The Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, said: "The maternal aunt is like the mother in position." [Al-Bukhaari]
11- Saying kind words. The Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, said: "Save yourself from Hell even by giving half a date in charity, and if you do not find that, then by saying a kind word." [Al-Bukhaari and Muslim]
12- Fulfilling people's needs. The Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, said: "A man who goes to fulfill [the Muslim's] need, (then he pointed with his finger), it will be better for him than making I‘tikaaf (staying in seclusion) in this Masjid of mine for two months.” [Al-Haakim]
13- Visiting the sick. The Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, said: "A man who visits an ailing person will attain the fruits of Paradise." [Muslim]
14- Maintaining kinship ties. The Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, said: "Kinship ties are hanging on the Throne, saying, 'whoever keeps ties with me, Allaah will keep good connection with him; and whoever severs ties with me, Allaah will sever connection with him.'" [Al-Bukhaari and Muslim]
15- Making Muslims happy. The Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, said: "Whoever meets his Muslim brother with what he likes seeking to make him happy with it, Allaah will make him happy on the Day of Resurrection." [At-Tabaraani]
16- Making life easy for people in straitened circumstances. The Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, said: "A person who makes things easy for an insolvent person, Allaah will make things easy for him in this life and in the Hereafter." [Muslim]
17- Showing compassion and mercy to the weak. The Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, said: "Allaah will be Merciful with those who show mercy to others. Show mercy to those on earth, and The One in Heaven will show mercy to you." [Abu Daawood and At-Tirmithi]
18- Reconciling people. The Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, said: "Shall I not inform you of something more excellent in degree than fasting, prayer and almsgiving?" The people replied, "Yes, O Messenger of Allaah." The Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, said: "It is reconciling people." [Abu Daawood and At-Tirmithi]
19- Forbearance, forgiveness, and suppressing anger. Allaah The Almighty Says (what means): {And who restrain anger and who pardon the people - and Allaah loves the doers of good.}[Quran 3:134] The Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, said to Al-Ashajj ibn ‘Abd Al-Qays: "You have two qualities that Allaah The Almighty loves: forbearance and patience." [Muslim]
20- Shaking hands with love and a pure soul. The Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, said: "No two Muslims meet and shake hands with one another but Allaah will forgive them before they leave." [Abu Daawood and At-Tirmithi: Hasan]
21- A smiling face. The Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, said: "Smiling at your brother is charity."
22- Lowering one’s gaze from what Allaah The Almighty forbade. The Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, said: "The unlawful look is one of the poisonous arrows of Satan, and whoever abstains from it out of fear from Allaah will find its sweetness in his heart." [At-Tabaraani]
23- Enjoining good and forbidding evil. The Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, said: "Whoever sees evil let him change it by his hand; if he is unable, let him change it by his tongue; and if he is unable, let him abhor it in his heart and this is the weakest level of faith." [Muslim]
24- Sitting with righteous and good people. The Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, said: "No people sit to mention Allaah The Almighty but the angels will circle them, mercy will shower them, tranquility will descend upon them, and Allaah will mention them among those with Him." [Muslim]

Among and Between

When we talk about the two words between and among, we have to put in mind that these two words are prepositions of place and both have the same meaning
Now we come to our point, where is the difference between these two words?
Between in used to tell the place of something that is in the middle of two things
Example 1: Ahmad is sitting between Ali and Fadi.
Example 2: The river is between the houses and the trees.
Example 3: I saw a cat hiding between the two boxes.

As for “among”, we use this word to tell the place of
something within three things or more.

Example 1: Ahmad is sitting among his friends. (friends = more than 2)
Example 2: There was a cat hiding among the trees
Example 3: “Mahjong” was among the games I downloaded today.

That’s all for today and see you later with another grammar rule and I hope you like it. Plz tell me what do u think of today’s lesson .

إستخدام can و could و be able to في اللغة الانجليزية

إستخدام can و could و be able to في اللغة الانجليزية

Mary can speak french
You can sit here
Emily could swim when she was five
I could drive when I was eighteen

She couldn't come to the party
0 It was not possible for her to come = )
0 They couldn't eat all their dinner
000 It was not possible for them to eat all their dinner = )

Could you left the cupboard No, I couldn't . It was too heavy

Were you able to paint the ******s 0 No , I wasn't . It rained all day

* أحيانا نستخدم be able to بدلا من can
* في المضارع : نقول : can أو am able to
* في الماضي : نقول : could أو was able to
* في المستقبل : نقول : can أو will be able to
* ويمكن إستخدام be able to في كل الأزمنة 0

(I’m , isn’t , aren’t …etc)

I am clever

John is working at the moment. (The present Continuous)

Emily was doing her homework. (The past Continuous)

He was met at the station by his parents. (Passive Voice)

That was a good meal.
